Procurement Specialist (Construction)

The Opportunity
We are looking for a Procurement Specialist to help our client achieve organizational cost savings. For this unique opportunity, we are looking for candidates who have a passion for problem solving, experience in managing multi-bid negotiations, and a strong focus on customer service, teamwork and collaboration.
Responsibilities:
- Review and triage purchase requests to ensure the purchase is handled through the optimal channel or team to optimize total cost, comply with policies, and ensure speed and efficiency
- Consult with and advise internal requesters regarding their purchasing needs and troubleshoot their questions and issues
- Run rapid sourcing events and negotiate with suppliers to generate the best total cost and quality
- Evaluate and process purchase requisitions efficiently to reduce downstream holds and positively impact payment cycles
- Support the development and application of selection criteria and evaluation methodologies to match suppliers with requirements to develop a sustainable preferred supplier program
- Act as procurement subject matter expert in consulting with the business to identify, develop and deploy best practice procurement, category management, and supplier management
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with key internal business partners to share best practices and understand and challenge business decisions
- Develop and maintain accurate and complete documentation for operational processes
- Assist in special projects and other duties as assigned
Your Background
- Experience working in the Construction industry is required
- Knowledgeable in Interior Fit-out or Facility Management
- Strong understanding of Indirect Procurement
- Source to Pay experience within a global company would be an advantage
- Experienced across office construction - including planning, sourcing, negotiating, contracting and supplier management
- Experience working with any ERP system as well as contract management, eSourcing, workflow and project management tools
- Experience working in sourcing related activities such as RFI, RFP, scopes of work, negotiation, contracting, etc. is desired
- Proficient in stakeholder management and communications
- Previous experience where accountability was required to KPI and CSAT measurements would be good to have
- BA/BS in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or other related field
