Our client, a leading US-based online technology company, is seeking the right talent to join them as a Senior HR Generalist, Korea /Japan (6-12 months contract, subject to extension) for their continuous business growth in the region.
Responsibilities:
- Advocate for Japan and Korea teams and represent their needs to the regional talent team and respective country managers.
- Work with People Managers in Japan and Korea and advise on performance and behavioural issues. When appropriate, escalate to broader talent and legal team.
- Assist Talent Management process and Performance Reviews.
- Compile data and reports using Tableau or Excel, including bespoke data requests from managers. Analyses data to support decision making.
- Work with Talent Partners and Legal team to write, implement and execute Airbnb policies and procedures in Japan and Korea.
- Partner with other Employee Experience members across APAC and support execution of global EX programs in Japan and Korea
- Participate or lead regional project work or initiatives on the enhancement of the employee experience throughout the employee lifecycle.
- Conduct Exit interviews with departing employees.
- Partner with HR Operations teams on special projects to further create efficiencies in ways of working.
- Partner with Ground Control on various social and cultural initiatives.
Requirements:
- To qualify for this role, you will have at least 5-8 years of progressive HR experience in a high speed, high growth environment
- Understanding of labour law and benefits, specifically Japan, Korea
- Strong communication and relationship building skills to effectively support and connect with a diverse and valuable team.
- Excellent analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting abilities, including reporting, synthesising data to identify themes and create solutions to address those issues
