The Opportunity
- Participates as a member of the business IT team providing Level 2 and 3 support to product development lab
- Provide operational support activities in setup of robust, reliable and secure IT systems and network infrastructure in lab compute space including:
- Design, prepare and implement end-to-end infrastructure solutions, configuration management, support and change management, integration of components including enclosures, servers, network and storage
- Database design and development, performance tuning and status monitoring, security, maintenance, backup and troubleshooting
- Assisting with problem resolution and root cause analysis, performance and status monitoring, maintenance, troubleshooting
- Business continuity and recovery plan improvement and simplification of lab compute space infrastructure architecture
- Provide mentoring and guidance to junior business IT support engineers
- Applies in-depth or broad technical knowledge and expertise to provide solutions across one or more technology areas
- Follows defined organization policies and processes and implements process changes as needed to meet ongoing business IT objectives.
Your Background
- Min a Bachelor / Postgraduate degree in IT, Computer Sciences, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering with at least five years in-depth knowledge and practical experience in enterprise system administration of Hyper-V/vSphere/Windows/Linux-based IT systems
- Experience with MSSQL database administration, performance tuning, optimization and database security using native tools
- Demonstrate technical leadership and general project management skills
- Knowledge of current IT industry trends and technologies
- Good team player; self-starter; pro-active
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to think out-of-the-box to apply technology to solve business IT problems
- Ability to work in a geographically dispersed, dynamic and changing environment
Desired experience:
- VMware VCP, MCSE/MCSA, RHCE and CCNA certifications
- HPE Synergy/BL/DL class servers
- iSCSI SAN technology
- MySQL, PostgreSQL and noSQL
- Linux/PowerShell/Python programming
- Data engineering and visualization
- Cyber security knowledge
- Data Center management
