Due to continued growth and new customer wins, a newly created role has arisen for an experienced DevOps Engineer to join this large high technology company. This company focuses on developing a broad portfolio of defense, homeland security and commercial applications. The project is currently on the staging environment.
Responsibilities:
- Install, deploy, automate, maintain, troubleshoot, manage cloud-based system and improve the systems that keep the backend infrastructure to run smoothly
- Build, maintain tools for deployment and configuration management of production systems
- Ensure the availability, performance, scalability and security of production systems
- Implementation and improvement of DevOps automation tools and principles
- Troubleshoot, resolve issues and implement process improvements
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in the field of Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent
- Solid understanding of microservices and distributed architecture-Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with Kafka, Flink, CI/CD processes and scripting knowledge
- AWS and EC2 experience
