Your Background

This Director role will be an individual contributor role based in Singapore with remit for the Asia Pacific region and will report to the Head of Voice of the Consumer (VoC) Insights for AP. This plays a vital role in continuing to deliver world class insights to grow Consumer Payments, expanding insights capabilities to help capture New Payment Flows, and delivering high demand, high contribution margin revenue to the company by managing VoC Insights engagements.

  • Support ongoing flow of insights & thought leadership to the markets & AP Regional teams executing on the vision for the Voice of Consumer insights team to be an engine of recommendation and advisory to our strategic partners, increasing company's value to key stakeholders
  • Adopt a data-driven story-first approach to distill findings across a multitude of sources and identify key insights that will drive business decisions in digestible and engaging ways
  • Meaningfully summarize research and succinctly communicate conclusions and recommendations in well-developed documents and presentations including executive stakeholder audiences
  • Increase audience understanding and insight sharing across Business Functions, to drive insights into business decision making
  • Support the growth in New Payment Flows by collaborating closely with Product/Innovation teams across a variety of research initiatives that drive insights for the business
  • Support the delivery of Voice of Consumer Insights value-added services in partnership with the company
  • Consulting and/or client facing teams through bespoke engagements for our partners/clients
  • Build best practices/learnings across topics including travel recovery and consumer value propositions as thought leadership for the business and for external partners
  • Demonstrate company leadership principles and contribute to a culture of curiosity, innovation and thoughtful risk-taking

Your Background

  • The incumbent should be an expert in consumer market research methodologies, both quantitative and qualitative, including experience in analyzing and reporting insights with great story-telling capabilities:
  • Relevant graduate degree from top-tier institution in Marketing, Market Research, Economics or related field required; preferably with studies in psychology, sociology, anthropology
  • 15+ years of experience in a global or multi-national business strongly preferred, including time in consumer research agencies
  • Masterful at uncovering insights with the ability to inspire and influence others to act on insights
  • Proficient on a broad range of traditional and emerging qualitative and quantitative, digital intelligence research techniques and methodologies with ability to articulate pros and cons; multi-country project experience preferred
  • Highly effective written and verbal communication skills including the ability to present with impact; must be fluent in English. Working proficiency in other Asia Pacific languages highly valued
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • Experience working in cross functional teams and in managing multiple complex projects simultaneously
  • Active team player & contributor with strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
