About the client:

My client, a global technology business with a strong regional sales team is seeking a Sales Engineer to join its growing team in Asia. With annual revenue crossing billions annually, they have been growing from strength to strength.

About the role:

This role is part of the wider pre-sales team, supporting the regional sales team. As an integral part of the sales organization, you will assist the sales teams with your pre-sales technical knowledge, presentations and engagements.

Responsibilities:

  • Acting as an SME in cloud-related products, you will be providing sound advice and solutions to enterprise clients that directly addresses and resolves their pain points
  • Work closely with the sales teams to strategise on sales approaches to develop and grow the business
  • Advise clients on a comprehensive set of cloud solutions which provide scalable solutions for them, whether be it in private, public or hybrid cloud environment
  • Collaborate with both sales teams and delivery teams to identify, develop and close deals in cloud solutions
  • Apply thought leadership, leveraging business and technical knowledge generate client interest
  • Participate as a technical resource at trade shows and conferences when required
  • Providing relevant case studies and business cases for client presentations and also in response to RFP/RFI

Qualifications:

  • Degree-qualified, you will have a minimum of 5 years combined experiences in pre-sales and technical roles
  • Broad knowledge of cloud platforms (Tencent, Ali Cloud, Azure etc) will be highly regarded
  • Comfortable in presenting to both C-level and working level, as well as technical and business users
  • Ability to work as a team member within a collaborative professional environment; specifically to support other team members and contribute specialist knowledge on specific opportunities or accounts to identify, advance and close sales opportunities
