The Opportunity
The engineer will be working primarily on the DevOps processes, which includes managing applications on Containers ( Docker & Kubernetes ), tool development based on JavaScript framework, integrating with many other technologies like Hadoop, Kafka, etc. and several inbuilt company's utilities. The engineer helps to reduce release time to production and strengthen Site Reliability Engineering tools (SRE). You will provide robust technical support and automation to eliminate or minimize incidents, as well as investigate and resolve issues in response to live incidents.
Your Background
- 8+ years' experience in DevOps related roles
- Proficient with Git/ Stash/ BitBucket, Jenkins and Artifactory
- Expert knowledge in CI/CD and hands on implementation experience
- Hands on experience with container related technologies like Docker, Kubernetes
- Extensive experience in Unix/Linux administration and Bash Scripting
- Experience in automating release and build processes
- Experience with Configuration Management automation tools like Chef & Ansible ( preferred )
- Hands on experience on how to monitor software and Infrastructure and its related tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk and ELK
- Working knowledge of relational and non-relational databases, including creating and running queries [MySQL and NOSQL]
- Working knowledge of web/middleware servers like Nginx and Tomcat
- Complete understanding of the software development life-cycle and agile software development methodologies
