Job Requirements
- Experienced in MYSQL, Couchbase Server and Linux OS architecture
- Experience in implementing backup, availability and recovery procedures
- Creates and implements development, test and production environment
- Proficient in scripting (Unix Shell) skills and inclination towards automation of day-to-day tasks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure delivery of requirements
- Must have experience in a mission critical 24 x 7 environment
- Must have strong articulation skill to promote the best database management practices (Design, Implementation & Management) and the ability to coordinate major systems events such as infrastructure upgrades, database upgrades, patching, application upgrades, load tests & storage migration
- Strong physical database design skills
- 1-2 years of experience in Project Management
Technical Skills
Couchbase
- Proficient in key Couchbase administration functions (on-premise and cloud-based) - Installing, upgrading, patching, configuring and maintaining of Couchbase nodes and servers/ sync-gateways
- Experience with on-premises and cloud-based Couchbase administration, including configuration, database security
- Configure and perform monitoring, including troubleshooting issues relating to Couchbase Server, Linux OS, XDCR, Web console, and any custom scripts or jobs related
- Demonstrated understanding of Couchbase Views and Indexing, including use-cases, strategies, and pitfalls
- Understanding of JSON, Key-value pairs, document, and caching technologies and architecture as it relates to Couchbase and NoSQL
- Experience with Couchbase N1QL query language
MySQL
- Proficient in key MySQL Database administration functions (on-premise and cloud-based) - Installing, upgrading, patching, configuring and maintaining of MySQL servers including database replication
- Implement/Manage MySQL clustered and non-clustered configurations & Disaster Recovery systems.
- Understanding of MySQL's underlying storage engines, such as InnoDB and MyISAM
- Knowledge of MySQL features, such as its event scheduler
