The Opportunity

We are looking to hire an experienced Partner Development Manager for our client's Business Messaging platforms in the Greater China Region (GCR). The Partner Sales team is responsible for bringing the Business Messaging Platform to market through local, regional and global partners. Specifically, this role will work to grow and scale partner ecosystem in GCR, primarily for the WhatsApp Business Platform but may potentially include Messenger and Instagram Direct.

This candidate will work with a set of prioritized target partners, educate the partners on the product features and partner processes, and work with the partners to develop GTM strategy to deliver against targets. The ideal candidate will have strong partner management experience to grow and accelerate GTM strategy within their specific market and partners. The ideal candidate will also have strong experience in enterprise SaaS/API customer or partner management with a proven track record of delivering against goals.

The candidate will possess superior analytical skills and have the ability to effectively influence and communicate cross-functionally with all levels of management. The candidate will thrive in a team-oriented environment, working cross-functionally with the marketing, global channel programs and operations teams to develop new ways of connecting with customers and business through our client's Business Messaging Platforms.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and grow new partnerships that drive new sales to the business.
  • Deliver partnerships to exceed partner sales goals or quotas. Define and manage business plans with the key partners; encompassing but not limited to key activities to be carried out for period, clearly-defined GTM planning, resource allocations, partner enablement, partner program execution and potentially commercial incentives.
  • Work with partners to create go-to-market plans that strengthen the company's value proposition in the market, while providing new revenue opportunities with partners.
  • Manage the enablement effort with the partners to educate them on product capabilities, features and programs, including scaled training, assisting partner inquiries, educating them on the available resources.
  • Manage executional tasks of partner sales and program activities, including but not limited to business plan execution, deal tracking, contracting, incentives tracking/payouts.
  • Follow through and track issue escalations from partners, and ensure issues are resolved in a timely and efficient manner. Work with internal cross-functional teams to resolve and troubleshoot operational and/or technical issues when they arise.
  • Assist in organizing and streamlining regular communications to partners, including surveys, marketing announcements, product updates and pilot/research requests.
  • Passionate partner champion who can provide world-class relationship development and thought leadership

Your Background

  • Has 5+ years of tech channel partnerships/sales in enterprise SaaS successfully growing partners to drive dramatically increased sales.
  • Experience in cPaaS, SaaS or enterprise software environments.
  • Ability to forecast channel revenue accurately with strong CRM skills.
  • Experience operating autonomously across multiple teams, demonstrated critical thinking, and thought leadership.
  • Experience establishing work relationships across multi-disciplinary teams and multiple partners in different time zones.
  • Capacity to get things done at short notice while collecting information from a variety of internal and external sources.
  • Fluent in spoken and written Mandarin as the majority of partner interaction will be conducted in Mandarin
