APAC Finance Vendor Relationship Manager

The Opportunity
We are looking for a self-motivated, detail-oriented candidate to manage the relationship of the vendors that provide accounting and finance operations services in APAC. This person will work with the senior vendor relationship manager to oversee the vendor risk governance, which includes but is not limited to:

  • Handle the change of service scope:
    • Discuss and firm the business requirements from the APAC Finance stakeholders
    • Communicate and align the change of service scope with the relevant vendors
    • Work with procurement and legal team to amend contracts accordingly
    • Follow up until the amendment takes effect
  • Handle the renewal of contracts:
    • Track the expiration schedule of existing contracts
    • Kick off the contract renewal process internally with APAC Finance stakeholders, understanding potential change of service scope, expectation of vendor performance etc.
    • Prepare contract drafts
    • Communicate the contract renewal with vendors
    • Work with procurement and legal team to complete the new contract in system
    • Provide progress updates and train APAC Finance stakeholders with critical terms such as KPI, SLA, etc.
  • Manage the regular service review:
    • Discuss service review meeting timelines with vendors, manage the calendar and other logistics
    • Collect feedback from APAC Finance stakeholders and share with vendors
    • Review and update the service review deck ahead of the scheduled service review meetings with the vendor and APAC Finance stakeholders
    • Chair the service review meeting
    • Regularly follow up action items agreed from the service review meeting until closure
    • File the service review material
    • Work with the senior vendor relationship manager and vendors to optimize the service review material and process
  • Review the vendor invoices:
    • Perform due diligence check on vendor invoices to ensure no over-charge
    • Work with APAC Finance stakeholders and vendors on performance-based credit when there is financial term in the contract
  • Others tasks:
    • Manage escalations / queries from APAC Finance and/or other internal stakeholders
    • Handle the escalation from the vendors to ensure that they get the needed information and tools to deliver the in-scope service
    • Provide updates to the quarterly global vendor risk assessment
    • Occasionally attend global calls outside of typical working hours when business needs arise
    • Take on the ad-hoc relevant tasks that are not specified above and assigned by the manager based on bandwidth


Your Background
Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or other related disciplines
  • 3+ years of finance vendor relationship management experience
  • With practical experience in making KPI and SLA
  • Proficient with OA software (e.g. MS Word, Excel, PPT) and apps (e.g. Google suite)
  • Able to communicate clearly
  • Fluent in English


Preferred qualifications:

  • Exposure to Finance Operations, such as RTR, PTP, OTC, Payroll, T&E, Procurement Ops, etc.
  • Has MNC work experience
